At our hospital, we offer a comprehensive Digestive Diagnosis and Planned Advice service designed to accurately identify and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal symptoms and conditions. Whether you’re experiencing persistent digestive discomfort, unexplained changes in bowel habits, or require follow-up care after previous tests, our team of expert gastroenterologists is here to help.
What Is Digestive Diagnosis?
Digestive diagnosis refers to the thorough evaluation of the digestive system, including the oesophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder. Our goal is to uncover the root cause of symptoms through detailed clinical assessments, advanced diagnostic tools, and specialist-led consultations.
Common Reasons for Digestive Diagnosis
Patients are often referred or self-refer to our service for:
- Persistent abdominal pain or bloating
- Changes in bowel habits (constipation, diarrhoea)
- Blood in stool or black stools
- Heartburn or acid reflux
- Unexplained weight loss
- Nausea or vomiting
- Family history of gastrointestinal disease
Diagnostic Services Offered
We provide a range of advanced diagnostic tests tailored to each patient’s symptoms:
- Gastroscopy – to investigate the oesophagus, stomach, and duodenum
- Colonoscopy and Sigmoidoscopy – to view the colon and detect inflammation, polyps, or cancer
- Combined Gastroscopy & Colonoscopy – for complete upper and lower GI tract assessment
- CT and MRI Scans – for detailed imaging of the digestive organs
- Ultrasound and blood tests – to screen for liver function, infection, or inflammation
- Stool sample analysis – to detect infections, bleeding, or digestive disorders
Planned Advice & Follow-Up
Following a diagnosis, our consultants provide:
- A clear explanation of findings
- A tailored management plan
- Advice on dietary and lifestyle changes
- Referral to relevant specialists (e.g., surgeons, dietitians)
- Follow-up appointments and ongoing monitoring, if needed
We ensure that every patient leaves with a comprehensive understanding of their condition and a clear pathway forward.
