Anisha has developed a substantive portfolio career across clinical, research and education with over 15 years in clinical practice as a Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) , research and academia; specialising in neurorehabilitation, brain injury and cognitive communication disorders (CCD).
She has worked in the NHS, private and tertiary settings as well as the across the clinical pathway from acute teaching hospitals, specialised inpatient neurorehabilitation units, and community sector.
She has also worked with The Children’s Trust carrying out research into the current service model and data outcomes as well as currently working at the Institute of Neuroimaging, Queen’s Square, London in the PLORAS research study for aphasia recovery.
She is currently a lecturer on the Speech and Language Therapy programme at the University of Greenwich and well as running a successful independent practice. She is the chair of the acquired brain injury clinical excellence network (CEN) and sits on the committees for RCSLT’s ABI, Homelessness, Emerging Tech and Mental Capacity clinical excellence networks (CENs).
Research & Teaching
Miss Desai has worked closely with The Children’s Trust carrying out research into the current service model and data outcomes as well as currently working at the Institute of Neuroimaging, Queen’s Square, London in the PLORAS research study for aphasia recovery.
