Each session is delivered by our specialist Parkinson’s rehabilitation team, ensuring safe, evidence-based support throughout.
Programme Structure
- Duration: 6-week course (once weekly)
- Format: Small group sessions (6–8 participants)
- Session length: 45 minutes
- Approach: Combination of standing and seated exercises for safety and comfort
Each week offers variety, with new exercises to challenge different aspects of movement, balance, coordination, and posture, alongside education sessions to deepen understanding of Parkinson’s and self-care strategies.
Your Journey With Us
1. Initial Assessment (40 minutes, in person)
Your programme begins with a detailed assessment by our Parkinson’s specialists:
- Comprehensive review of mobility, balance and individual needs
- Summary of clinical findings provided after assessment
- Guidance on readiness for group sessions
- If required, one-to-one therapy is recommended before joining the group
2. Group Sessions (6 weeks)
- 5 weekly group sessions followed by a wrap-up exercise session
- Enjoyable, practical, and evidence-based activities
- Education on understanding and managing Parkinson’s symptoms
- Ongoing encouragement from our multidisciplinary rehabilitation team
