Travelling To The Royal Bucks
Our rehabilitation centre is a major part of the Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital. A distinctive four storey building, in a tree lined niche close to the centre of Aylesbury.
If you are driving, entering the postcode HP19 9AB in your sat nav will help, or click on the map icon for full directions from Google.
Should you be transporting a patient, by all means use our car park at the front of the hospital. Disabled spaces are near the entrance and you can ask at, or call reception if assistance is needed.
Where you are simply visiting, there may be space in our car park, although you will understand why patients are given priority. Three public car parks are within easy walking distance.
If you are coming by train, Aylesbury station is less than a mile away. A few minutes by taxi, with a service available at the station.
Visiting Hours & Facilities
Visiting Is From Monday to Sunday
10am – 10pm
Our visiting hours are generous for good reason, we appreciate the part family, or friends can play in successful rehabilitation.
They are welcomed in patient’s rooms, or to watch therapy sessions where that makes sense. Guest meals can be ordered, to share time and delicious food with people you are visiting.
Recently developed, one and two bedroom guest flats are available by the night, or for longer. An ideal way to stay close, be involved and offer personal support.
Our staff and other residents will be pleased you are there. Our centre feels more like home, giving encouragement to all.
Why Visitors Matter
When any of us are going away to somewhere new, we can feel nervous, or a little lonely. Imagine you were travelling to a place that could reshape your future.
Being able to share each achievement along the way makes them more valuable. As does the way the way change can be reflected in other’s eyes, who are so pleased for you.
There can also be harder times, requiring patience and determination. Reinforcement of the will to succeed from a partner, family member or friend makes a difference.
Rehabilitation has vital technical elements and relies on skilled staff but also on keeping a positive focus in mind.
By being there and boosting a patient’s spirits, visitors make a notable contribution to recovery. Time with them rightly matters a great deal to our patients.
Our Facilities
Our patients and the people who care for them deserve the finest facilities, to ensure effective rehabilitation.
