Recovering normal functions
Most people will experience psychological issues during their lives, whether this may be anxiety, overwhelming grief, depression or trauma.
A clinical psychologist uses their expertise to help patients with behavioural and emotional stress and helps to promote their psychological well-being and assist them in the ability to engage in meaningful relationships.
Our clinical psychology team have particular expert knowledge in supporting patients after major trauma, brain damage or stroke, and will often work closely with people being treated at the Neuro & Spinal Rehabilitation Centre, located at the hospital.
Treatment involves a holistic, person centred approach and our clinical psychology consultant supports each patient in response to their individual needs.
