Mr Grilo is a consultant clinical psychologist in adult neuropsychology, which covers the nervous system in relation to behavior and cognition.
His knowledge is of significant benefit to patients in our rehabilitation centre, particularly after traumatic brain damage, or stroke. Supporting them in their journey to recover normal function and restore quality of life.
Mr Grilo has worked in senior consultant posts, including as a lead consultant for adult inpatient mental health services. His experience in developing specialist tools to assist with recovery from brain injury is valuable to our patients.
The part he plays in a wider multidisciplinary team is also of value, to patients and colleagues. With Mr Grilo dedicated to promoting and supporting psychologically minded best practice, which contributes to an effective ethos.
His belief in taking an holistic, person centred approach is equally helpful, supporting each patient as the unique individual they are.
Research & Clinical Trials
Mr Grilo has published books and articles for international magazines on psychological health. He is currently developing research in operant conditioning, learning disabilities and brain injury.
He is an Honorary Tutor at Birmingham University and an Honorary Lecturer at Porto University, along with holding similar roles at the University of East Anglia.
