Mr Rodriguez began his academic journey with a master’s degree in chemistry from Oxford University before pursuing his passion for medicine. He graduated from The Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry (Exeter & Plymouth Universities) in 2010.
He then undertook surgical training in Bristol, Southampton, and Oxford, gaining valuable experience in the management of vascular disorders. In 2021, he was added to the GMC’s Specialist Register for Vascular Surgery.
Following this, Mr Rodriguez took on consultancy roles in the Thames Valley area, collaborating with specialists in multidisciplinary settings. He performs complex open surgeries while maintaining a strong focus on individualized patient care.
He offers comprehensive treatments for varicose veins, including minimally invasive procedures such as radiofrequency ablation and ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy, in addition to surgical options.
His expertise also extends to carotid disease, aortic aneurysms, peripheral arterial disease, lower limb revascularization, and diabetic foot disease management.
Mr Rodriguez works closely with vascular scientists to provide a streamlined diagnostic service at The New Foscote and Royal Buckinghamshire hospitals, ensuring timely and effective care for patients.
Research & Teaching
Mr Rodriguez has contributed extensively to the field of vascular surgery, publishing in numerous peer-reviewed journals and presenting his research at both national and international surgical conferences.
He has authored book chapters on the impact of peripheral arterial disease and vascular interventions, and his research includes studies on the safety of carotid endarterectomy in elderly patients.
In addition, he has collaborated with the Vascular Society of Great Britain & Ireland and the James Lind Alliance to help shape research priorities for carotid conditions in the UK.
Equally dedicated to surgical education, Mr Rodriguez plays an active role in training the next generation of surgeons. He participates in interviews for higher specialty training in vascular surgery and serves as an accredited examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
