Mr Rejali graduated in medicine from the University of Manchester in 1992. Concurrently, he obtained a BSc in Immunology and Experimental Oncology.
His elective studies took place at Boston Children’s Hospital ENT Department, Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. An early opportunity to see alternative techniques and perspectives.
Further training followed in the West of Scotland, before Mr Rejali obtained his fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, in both ENT and General Surgery.
Through a research fellowship at the University of Michigan, along with research in France and the UK, Mr Rejali continued to add to medical knowledge and expand his own. An approach he believes is vital to offering patients the best care.
Since entering the GMC’s specialist register for Otolaryngology in 2004, Mr Rejali has supported patients with ear infections, ear related balance, or dizziness issues, Eustachian tube disorders and more.
Treatment can include ear grommets, myringoplasty, tympanoplasty, mastoidectomy, stapedectomy and Eustachian tube dilatation. Key techniques for a Consultant ENT Surgeon, with Mr Rejali performing around 2000 operations to date.
The way he offers treatment is equally important for those he treats. Mr Rejali believes in viewing each patient as an individual, to find the best solution for them.
Research & Teaching
Dr Rejali has researched and published papers on ear and Eustachian tube issues, along with treatment methodology. Other research topics he has contributed to include cochlear implants, tinnitus caused by intracranial hypertension and auditory dysfunction.
He teaches ear surgery to trainee ENT doctors, including endoscopic (minimally invasive) approaches), along with training other clinicians, or audiologists and serving as a Visiting Senior Lecturer at Aston University Medical School.
