Mr Khan qualified in medicine at the University of London, in 2003. London was also his centre for surgical training, before a fellowship at the prestigious Oxford Endocrine Unit, combining clinical care, research and education.
In 2018, he was admitted to the GMC’s specialist register for surgery. Consultant posts in the Oxford area followed, along with overseas trips, which broaden Mr Khan’s knowledge and have a more significant purpose.
He carries out surgery for medical charities in parts of Africa and South America, providing care to people who would otherwise not receive this. A fine use of time, which points to his wider stance on patient care.
Mr Khan appreciates the importance of the area he specialises in and of offering patients good diagnosis, or treatment. Above all, he believes that medical care is a human right, which all individuals should be able to access.
His skill and knowledge brings valuable support to patients at our hospital, an inherent wish to see their health return is as important.
