Dr Chandran obtained her Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery from the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University in India, in 1994. After completing an internship, much of her specialist training took place in the UK.
This included the Eastern Deanery and Addenbrookes, an internationally respected university teaching hospital in Cambridge, alongside more senior posts in endocrinology.
In 2007, Dr Chandran was admitted to the GMC’s Specialist Register, in Endocrinology, Diabetes Mellitus and General (internal) Medicine. Consultancy posts followed in Buckinghamshire, where she still supports patients alongside her work at our hospital.
Dr Chandran’s skills in the treatment of diabetes, thyroid issues and gland disorders are welcomed by our patients. The same applies to the way she provides treatment.
Keeping up to date through literature and conferences matters to Dr Chandran, to ensure her patients receive the latest, proven care. Above all, her wish to find personal solutions for them helps to bring good outcomes.
Research & Clinical Trials
Dr Chandran has contributed to research papers on antibodies used in the prediction, or classification of diabetes and medication to assist with recovery from Covid-19.
She has submitted case reports on endocrinology and written for medical publications, including on diet management in diabetes.
