Dr. Cooper graduated in medicine from the University of Manchester in 2006, driven by a passion for paediatric medicine that shaped her career.
She gained extensive experience at leading children’s hospitals, including Alder Hey in Liverpool and The John Radcliffe in Oxford. Her work in community hospitals further deepened her understanding of paediatric conditions across diverse settings.
With a special interest in gastroenterology, Dr. Cooper developed additional expertise to provide comprehensive care for young patients. She joined the GMC’s Specialist Register in Paediatrics in 2020 and has since held key hospital roles, including Clinical Director for Paediatrics.
As a hospital consultant, she has worked with children of all ages across outpatient, inpatient, and emergency care settings. Her expertise is complemented by a deep awareness of the developmental needs of children at different stages.
Dr. Cooper’s approach is rooted in patient-centered care, ensuring that each child receives the highest standard of medical attention, tailored to their individual needs.
Research & Teaching
Dr. Cooper is actively involved in medical education, teaching both medical students and junior doctors. Her innovative approach combines bedside teaching, online lectures, and simulation training to enhance learning experiences.
She also contributes to advancing medical knowledge by recruiting for national studies, writing on best practices in medical education, and authoring textbook chapters, including in Practical Paediatric Prescribing.
